Checklist before submission

The manuscript should be written using Word Processor and comply with the requirements; line spacing (double space in general), margins, line numbering, page numbering, picture resolution, listing in tables, etc.

Check if all names of the authors, authors’ affiliations, and the communicating author’s name are listed on the Title page. An ORCID ID by author may be required.
Some journals may request that author’s information be deleted in the manuscript and a separate Title page be submitted for blind peer review.
The title of a paper is usually about 25 words and some journals may allow a phrase, sentence or interrogative form.
Short titles are composed of main words of the title and written within 45 letters (including spaces) and shown at the top and bottom of the journal.
Most of international journals recommend MESH terms for keywords of the abstract and usually less than 5 are suggested.
If abbreviations are used more than twice in the abstract and the main body, all words that they represent should be spelled out before they continue to be used and their use should be minimized. (Abstract, main body, table and figure are components of a manuscript and abbreviations should be defined for each component.)
SI standard units are used and italic is used for scientific names for animals, plants, and microorganisms, Latin-originated words, genes, statistical significance number P, correlation coefficient R, etc.

- Use full space between numbers and units(140 mg, 75 mL)
- Put percentage, angle, ℃, etc. next to the number(45%, 37.5℃)
- For domestic medical papers, all the nouns after numbers should be used without space. (500그램, 삼미터, 5마리)
The bibliography should be formatted by checking the submission regulations and it is
Examine raw research data sharing, research report guidelines by research type, level of evidence of a research, etc.
Compliance of research ethics, conflict of interest, funding, patient consent, etc. should be listed in the manuscript or relevant information should be submitted to the submission system.
Check the contents related to copyright in the submission regulations and indicate the source of published pictures or tables in my manuscript with the author’s permission.
There are academic journals that publish only in Open Access, so check the paper handling fee (APC) by OA type (green or gold), copyright of an author, etc.
